Dr. Aisling Lanigan has a vision for the future of health care. She believes that for medicine to be truly effective, it must be individualized to each patient and centered around their needs, goals and desires. Dr. Aisling is passionate about supporting the body to heal itself and her aim is to empower patients to take active steps to improve their own health.
Dr. Aisling sees and treats patients prior to birth, on into old age and loves the challenges of having such a diverse patient load. Her focus is in family medicine, pediatrics and women’s health and she has pursued additional training in fertility optimization as well as being a certified Naturopathic Doula. As a Naturopathic Doula, Dr. Aisling attends births and provides emotional, informational and physical support including natural pain management for birthing mothers and their partners before, during and after labour. Together with a team of Naturopathic Doctors from the GTA, Dr. Aisling has started the Naturopathic Prenatal Course: Birth as a Journey. The course is run quarterly in Mississauga and Toronto.
Dr. Aisling believes in determining the root cause of illness and uses a variety of diagnostic tools. For treatment, she relies on several natural therapies including clinical nutrition, herbal/ botanical medicine, Traditional Chinese medicine, acupuncture, lifestyle counseling and bio puncture.
